Period: 1810 (circa)
Color: Black & White
22 x 18 inches
55.9 x 45.7 cm
Interesting and unusual set of manuscript maps. The mines shown include the San Francisco de Paula and Las Amelias at Pesqueria, Sonora, Mexico which were owned and operated by G.V. Monteverde & Co. The maps show detail of the mines including depths, various locations and some of the equipment used in the process of mining gold and silver. Three of the five maps are on two unjoined sheets that range in size from 4 x 10" up to 22 x 18".
Scattered soiling and staining across the maps. A few of the maps are slightly tattered in the blank margins with a few minor tears.
