This large and complete atlas was licensed from Cram and is identical to his Unrivaled Family Atlas of the World. Filled with lovely wax engraved maps with the double page maps folded and tipped-in as in early atlases. Most maps are printed front to back. Complete with all 129 maps and city plans as called for on the contents page. Contains 57 single and double page maps, a few single sheets with two maps on one page, plus a great collection of 72 city plans, many not found in any other atlas such as Bay City MI, Columbus OH, Council Bluffs IA, Dallas TX, Denver CO, Fargo ND, Grand Rapids MI, Richmond VA, Kansas City MO, Parkersburg VW, Toledo OH, Nashville TN. The double page maps are: California, Texas (East), Texas (West), Alaska, Kentucky, Montana, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, the United States, Virginia, West Virginia, and the topographical map of the United States. Hard bound in black embossed cloth with silver gilt to front cover, 500 pp, pictorial Title Page, Table of Contents, text, photographs, maps, plans, index, 500 pp. Printed by Robert Grainger, Chicago.

Condition: B+

The maps vary from very good to fine. A few text pages and a couple maps with some marginal tears. Front cover with some wear to bottom edge and spine frayed at top and bottom. Back cover with an area of damage from removed label. Contents and signatures tight.
