The map shows the railroad route from Illinois to Florida surrounded by 23 photo illustrations of agriculture and commerce along the route. Colored by county with a good amount of detail including all railroad stations. Folds into 8vo self-wrappers (4" x 9") titled "Letters From Along the Line of the L&N From Intelligent and Reliable Northern Farmers Who are now Cultivating South Lands," with the railroad's red & black logo, Victorian lettering and filigree flourishes. The verso contains a panel marketing the "Good Faming Lands" available at 'Unprecedentedly Low' prices in the states of Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Florida, plus many testimonials further encouraging emigration to and investment in these states. The map was engraved by the Poole Bros., Chicago.
Generally very good to fine less a few small fold intersection splits and a little foxing on covers.
