The large folio historical atlas was edited by James W. Sheahan and published by Warren, Cockcroft and Company, New York. It contains many large double page sheets giving the history and genealogy from Europe, the Middle East and the United States. Each chart uses lines and icons to show lineage with full wash color behind. Each is accompanied with extensive descriptive text describing the hundreds of important people through the ages. At the back is the Historical Geography section that contains 25 maps composed of 21 double paged maps, 15 of Europe and 6 of the United States, plus another four single page maps showing South America, Asia (2), and Africa. Folio, hardbound in brown pebble cloth with leather tips and spine, 282pp. A monumental collection of information and large double page plates and maps.

Contents very good. The covers show a little wear at tips and spine with short crack along cover/spine edge at bottom.
