Rare, original Rand McNally 'For Sale' sign. The base is black paint colorfully overprinted in red, cream and gold in the style of a cigar box label. The tin base is beveled around the edges and backed with paper board. With two logos at either side. Probably for display in drug stores when these maps were sold there. A rare map related item for which we find no prior sales or other information.

Condition: A

The printing is fine with no occlusions or rubbing. The paint has a few tiny flakes missing along upper bevel edge. Backed with original paper board and hanging cord. A small area of white above the right logo is not a flaw but paper stuck to the surface.
