This is a very unusual and interesting map designed for a geographical game created by Gautltier which originally included a second map identical in content and coloring, but without place names. It is a fine early nineteenth century map of the continent that features updated information on the origin of the Nile River. The southern central portion of the continent is blank south from the Mountains of the Moon. An uncommon and very handsome map.
