This is a great early plan view of 16th century Rome and the Vatican City. Monuments of the ancient city, such as the Coliseum, the Pantheon and the aqueducts are also shown. German text on verso with an interesting illustration of three naked witches. This is one of the earliest obtainable views of Rome.

The bottom right corner of the blank margin has been professionally restored. There is faint show through of the text on verso.
