This superb map covers the southern Bavarian region centered on Munich. It provides details of many cities and fortifications and includes an inset of the Innviertel region of Austria. The map is decorated with three allegorical cartouches. The title and inset cartouches are both held aloft by putti, with the scale of miles surrounded by Mercury the Messenger god, Diana the huntress goddess and Demeter the goddess of harvest.
