This finely detailed map of Scandinavia and the Baltic was engraved by J. Lhuiler. It provides a great deal of information, particularly in Sweden and along the coastlines. It extends to the White Sea with a notation concerning the inhabitants of Lapland. The title cartouche is topped by the royal arms of Sweden, then the most powerful nation in the region that included present-day Finland and Ingria (the region of St. Petersburg).
Fine original color with pleasant overall light toning. There is an old paper repair in the top margin, not affecting the map.
