This copper engraved chart includes Florida and extends to show all of the Windward Islands, plus much of Mexico and Central America. Arrows indicate the trade winds. Dashed lines indicate the track of the Spanish Galleons and the flotilla from Vera Cruz to Havana. This handsome chart is embellished with a decorative rococo-style cartouche and compass rose. The map was originally published in the February 1762 issue of the Gentleman's Magazine with a related article. Engraved by John Gibson.
