Very nice example of this important book, here in the third enlarged edition with a new map and additional illustrations. The large folding frontispiece "Map of the Territory of Arizona 1884" is bound so that it has never been fully opened. The book has a number of stone lithographs of towns and mining communities, many unique to this publication. The large folding "Mines and Smelter of the United Verde Copper Co." is a great panorama of Jerome which is just three miles above your faithful cataloger's home. Other views include Tucson, Tombstone, Prescott (the territory's capital), Clifton, and Yuma. At back are fourteen pages of ads, many illustrated, including Wells Fargo Stage Lines, The Silver Belt paper of Globe, the Hotel Lemon in Phoenix, the Silver King Hotel in Florence, liveries, tailors and more. Hardbound in orange cloth with gilt titling, 8vo, 414pp plus index and Advertisements. This is the 3rd "Revised and Enlarged" edition published by A.L Bancroft & Company.
