This colorful map is filled throughout with sporting animals in a style reminiscent with hunting maps of the late 19th century. It is finely drawn and colored to show a staggering amount of information. The legend names and keys to the National Forests (165), Big Game (14), Small Game (16), Predators (16), Small Mammals (10), Upland Game Birds (20), Shore Birds (10), Winged Predators (3), Geese & Brant (9), and Ducks (26). Plus each species is shown in surrounding vignettes that include a map of the United States that indicates their range. This example was drawn by Ira Moss and published by Shorewood Press in New York. Blank verso.
