The small town of Austin is shown with a street grid pattern, completely separate from the smaller surrounding communities. The topographic sheet has an extensive legend locating fifteen different features. The geology sheet is beautifully colored and uses color and pattern to identify seventeen different formations. The geology is by Robt. T. Hill from the 1894-95 surveys of T. Wayland Vaughan.
