This large, bird's-eye plan of Solomon's Temple is based on the imaginative reconstructions of Juan Bautista Villalpando, who assumed that the buildings of Jerusalem were designed using the laws of geometry according to God's vision. The engraving is printed on two, joined sheets, as issued.
