Compass roses align north to the right on this chart of the Brazilian coast from Rio Paraiba to Cabo S. Augustino. This rare, classic sea chart is filled with rhumb lines and decorated with a sailing ship, title cartouche flanked by natives, and a large scale of miles cartouche embellished with merfolk.
