Beautifully engraved copper plate plan of the fort and a detailed and early plan of Cape Town. A lettered key at left is contained in its own border and names twelve important features; the hospital, slave house, Governor's house, reservoir, and more. The fort is shown with its wide fortified walls. Very nice rococo-style title cartouche decorates. "Tome III. No. 114" at upper right above neatline.

Condition: A+

Very fine example on thick hand laid paper with watermark and very wide margins. Dark, early impression, fine modern color. One tiny spot below cartouche in blank area, still fine.
