This is one of the more desirable maps of Italy from this period. It details Tuscany showing the magnificent city of Florence at its center and extending to include Sienna, Empoli, S. Miniato, Perugia, Luca, Pisa, Arezzo, and Cortona. Further north the cities of Cesena, Forli and Bertimoro are located. Two large, decorative cartouches; the distance scale has two putti and a large globe, the figural title cartouche includes a full armor suit and a lion. Blank verso.
The map image is fine. Strong impression and original hand coloring on a sheet with very wide margins. A little marginal soiling or foxing.
