Uncommon miniature map of Brazil based on Nicolas Sanson's cartography. Details are mostly confined to the coastline. Two large spurious lakes are shown in the interior: L. Parime and Lac Eupana ou de Xarayes. Pierre Duval was Nicolas Sanson's nephew and pupil. He published a wide range of atlases and individual maps including the fine miniature world geography that included this map.
