Set of three steel engraved bird's-eye views of important Civil War era locations. The Washington view (7.5 x 5") has a numbered key below that locates 32 important buildings and features; the Orange & Alexandria R.R., Fairfax Court House, Smithsonian Institute, the Capitol, Navy Yard and more. The Richmond (7.3 x 5") view keys to eight locations including the Iron & Flour Mills, Water Works, and the Capitol. Finally, a fine array of ships surround the fortress at Monroe (9 x 6.3") in a dramatic and beautifully engraved view obviously taken from a location high above the fort. An uncommon set of views produced during the conflict.
