This complete atlas includes 22 double page maps per the list of maps. The maps include the Ptolemaic world map, maps of European countries including three of Italy, the Middle East including a fine Holy Land map, Africa and city plans of ancient Roma, Athens, etc. Prefatory Note and a full index in back. Hard bound in marbled boards with leather spine and original paper label on front board. Bound behind the index is a list of other publications available, dated March 1841.
Maps are generally very good or fine except the map of Greece with some old red ink notations, and Palenstina with a black ink notation in left margin. Front blank end paper has scattered foxing. Covers are well worn with front board detached.
