Fabulous map centered on Nuremberg with the surrounding countryside pictorially presented. The map is decorated with a large title cartouche surmounted by the trumpeting, female representation of Fame and a coat of arms, and a smaller, but equally elaborate, text cartouche. At right is a large inset plan of the city with a key to the major buildings. Latin text on verso.

Backed with Japanese tissue, repairing the centerfold separation at top and bottom. Some paper has been replaced in the wide blank margins, well away from the map.
