A pair of handsome charts printed on one large sheet. The top map covers from the Virgin Islands to Barbados. The bottom chart describes the lower Bahamas, including the Turks & Caicos Islands, and the northern shore of Hispaniola. Each chart is crisply engraved and shows excellent detail including towns and villages, soundings and anchorages, shoals and topography. The charts have several notes describing the routes and discoveries of previous French explorers. The seal of the Depot de Marine is at bottom left and Prix Trois Livres at bottom right.
