Large pocket map that folds into 4 x 6.5" brown stiff paper wrappers with the title "Rand, McNally & Co.'s Indexed County and Railroad Pocket Map and Shippers' Guide of Texas." The map is colorful and detailed. It contains a key that names and locates 65 railroads with red overprinting. The 1904 edition lists only 51 railroads, hinting at the rapid expansion in commercial activities. Large inset shows the southern tip of the state to Brownsville with part of Mexico. Blank verso. The 70-page booklet contains a title page, and index. Eight additional pages are advertisements for other products by the firm. On the back cover is an extensive list of other pocket maps available from Rand, McNally.
