This scarce 31-page report contains the folding frontis "Mammoth Hot Springs, Yellowstone National Park, Wy. Ter." and the folding map, "Yellowstone National Park" (14 x 16"). The map was compiled from P.W. Norris, the maps of F.V. Hayden, who was then conducting his most extensive and final investigations of the region, and the surveys of R.J. Reeves. It is significantly more detailed than its predecessors and contains many named topographic features (many with elevations), Park Headquarters, Mammoth Hot Springs post office, roads, proposed roads, trails, gold mines (just over the border from Mammoth in Montana) and other details. Issued by P.W. Norris, Superintendent of the Yellowstone National Park.
