This well executed stone lithograph is an aerial view of the 1876 Centennial Fairgrounds drawn by Sydney Smirke. The view is looking west across the Schuykill River. Key below lists 40 buildings including the Machinery Hall, Woman's Pavilion, the Trois Freres Provinceaux Restaurant, and more within the exhibition. The view extends beyond the Exhibition to locate the Falls, Columbia and Girard Avenue bridges, the Belmont Mansion, Globe Hotel and more. This uncommon view is not in the Reps reference.
