Charming small double hemisphere map with the peninsular form for California and a huge Terra Australis Incognita. The corners are decorated with the female representations of the four continents. Tucked between the cusp at bottom is the figure of Atlas holding the world on his shoulders, wind heads, and fire. This is the first edition with "Tab. 4" at upper right above the neatline.

This is a very good example less an internal tear in the Pacific. It closes invisibly. Very nice color, dark early impression and full margins.
