This uncommon complete atlas contains 56 copperplate maps of Hungary. The maps are finely engraved by Berken with good topographical detail and densely packed with information. Most maps are adorned with the coat-of-arms. The last page contains a key to the maps with symbols for regions, cities, markets, post offices, castles, and Catholic, Lutheran, Reformist and Greek Orthodox churches. Oblong 8vo. Hardbound in original brown paper covered boards with printed title on blue pastedown label on front.
The maps and text pages have some foxing, and there are overlapping ink stamps, and embossing on the title page. The covers and spine are worn with some loss to the spine.
