This is a reduced version of Christopher Saxton's map of Devonshire, which was the first map of the county. It is lavishly decorated with a strapwork title cartouche, the Royal Arms, a fine compass rose and a sea monster. Blank verso.

Condition: B+

A nice impression with attractive color. A tiny repair to the left of Ashburton with a couple lines of facsimile on the road. The blank margins have some faint discoloration, not affecting the map.
