Complete atlas with 76 single-page and 42 double-page maps. Title, introduction, table of contents, text and maps, 456pp., plus a detailed listing of towns and counties for each state (94 pp.). This is a world atlas, but the majority of the maps are of U.S. interest, including all states and territories and numerous city plans. Hundreds of wood engraved views interspersed throughout the text, including presidential portraits and a facsimile of the U.S. constitution. All double-page maps are printed on two sheets. Rebound with red cloth spine and tips and original burgundy cloth covers with silver title on front, and gilt title on black band on spine.

Condition: A

Contents generally good to very good with some age toning and damp staining along outer edges. A couple pages have edge tears, one of which enters image. Covers have very light wear.
