This is the German edition of the Tanner/Mitchell New York map from the New Universal Atlas, with a German title but still retaining the English place names. The map shows the profile of the Erie Canal at the bottom and at the right are the steam-boat routes from New York to Albany, Niagara Falls and the Hudson River and Philadelphia.

Nice impression with original outline color and a few, scattered spots of foxing confined primarily to the margins.
