47 x 27 inches
119.4 x 68.6 cm
This scarce pocket map is on two sheets, each measuring approximately 27" x 23", as issued. Together they are a large and highly detailed map of the state that contains a great amount of information. The map features original full hand coloring, decorative borders and fancy titling. It is printed on fine banknote quality paper and folds into original brown embossed and gilt stamped hard covers (4" x 6"). The paper label on inside front cover lists numerous maps available from the publisher. Size given is for both sheets if joined. A seldom seen issue.
Very nice hand coloring and impression with full original margins. The fold lines are delicate some with splits. The cover is very good even considering a small split at bottom of spine and two small gouges on cover. The inside paper label has suffered some damage from glue lifting to verso of map with some loss at center.
