Captivating miniature map shows the island of Euboea, or Negroponte, connected by a bridge even at this early point in history. Athens is shown in upper left of map. The sea is stipple engraved in the Italian style and filled with sea monsters, a title cartouche and a unique compass rose. On a full sheet of Italian text.
