Very decorative oval map of the northern province of Artois embellished with title and scale cartouches and set within an elaborate scrolled border. Most likely engraved by Abraham Goos who also published this plate in his Nieuw Nederlandtsch Caertboeck. Latin text on verso.

Superb impression on a strong sheet with attractive color. There is some minor foxing, mostly in blank margins.
