Handsome reduced version of Jansson's folio map based on the cartography of Bishop Gudbrandur Thorláksson. The island is depicted with its vast mountains, glaciers and fiords and includes several settlements, many places of interest and the dramatic eruption of Hekla. A small coastline of the mythical island of Frisland is shown at lower left. German text on the verso.
