This is the eleventh edition, revised to June, 1887 and is complete with 73 single page and 32 double page maps. This atlas includes individual maps for each U.S. state and territory, the Canadian provinces, the world and continents plus several pages of plans of the principal cities of the United States and the world. This terrific example also contains illustrations of state seals, and the flags and coats of arms of various nations. An amusing page in the back of the book lists client testimonials. Double page maps are folded and pasted to backstrap and maps are printed back to back. 446 pages with numerous illustrations. Small folio. Original hardbound in brown cloth with Quarter calf. A lovely embossed, gilt title on front cover.

Contents good to very good with just a hint of toning along edges. Front hinge starting. Covers are lightly worn and a bit rubbed, corners bumped. Spine has been repaired with brown tape. Some basic restoration of the spine and this atlas is near fine.
