A terrific folio atlas has 44 double-page, and 2 single-page maps in lithographic outline color, along with a 99-page index of placenames. Each map is very detailed with a crisp impression, a decorative keyboard-style border and delicate coloring. The map of New Zealand is particularly nice with an inset of "The Southern Alps of New Zealand." Folio. Complete with all pages, index and end papers. Hard bound in red embossed cloth with red leather corners and spine. Gilt titles on front and spine.

Text and maps generally very good to fine with a few maps only good. Light, scattered foxing, and some very light soiling on endpapers and in map margins. Covers are shelf worn with some loss. Spine and tips are scuffed and bumped. Binding is sound.
