This lovely map, originated by Nicolas Sanson, covers the 'boot' of southern Italy in considerable detail and also includes part of Albania and Greece, including Corfu. The title cartouche features two men taming spirited horses, and angels supporting a coat of arms. The four distances scales are also enclosed in a decorative cartouche.
