Handsome depiction of the environs of the Black Sea in classical times is filled with ancient place names and titled also in Greek. The cartography is based on Ortelius' map of the same title and engraved by Pieter van den Keere. The map is beautifully ornamented with sailing ships and a decorative title cartouche.

A sturdy map with a nice impression on sheet with a tear in the upper margin, stopping just shy of the map. There is a little faint foxing and a couple of minor creases .
