Large copper engraved chart covers the entire Russian Empire in Europe and Asia. It extends from Paris in Europe to the west coast of Alaska, and south to show Japan, the Caspian and Black seas, and most of the Mediterranean. Good detail throughout, with scores of cities and villages, extensive road network, rivers and mountains, etc. A color key at bottom identifies the countries. A large table at right gives the divisions of Russia with area and population.
Folding, as issued with original color. There are a few light stains and the centerfold is split about halfway into map and repaired with archival tape. Manuscript ink on verso with no show-through. Some red pencil marks in major cities.
