Extremely scarce Russian folding city plan with Cyrillic and French title and keys. The map is a beautiful illustration of the Imperial capital city during the reign of Alexander I with its traditional regular street layout and eleven districts. The map provides excellent detail of the public buildings, docks and shipyards, fortifications, palaces, churches, hospitals, universities, etc. Keys at sides to the various quarters (at left in Cyrillic). This map was published just prior to Napoleon's invasion of Russia.
