An attractive and detailed map of Cayenne in French Guiana. The large inset at upper right is a terrific example of a fortified castle. The map has rich coloring and a crisp impression, and locates towns, villages, churches and more. Embellished with a rococo-style cartouche and a pair of compass roses.

Very nice old color on sheet with full margins and large watermark. Some light soiling and a pair of small worm holes in lower margin closed on verso with old paper repair.
