A very large and attractive map "based upon the latest U.S. Gov't., state and private surveys and original field work", and produced with the assistance of "officers and members of the Appalachian Mountain Club, state, county and town officials and the Boston and Maine R.R., and numerous civil engineers and local authorities". This example is backed with linen, but is not dissected. It includes an extensive index with the following headings: "Post Offices and Railroad Stations", "Lakes and Streams", and "Principal Mountains". Also shown are points of interest such as The Willey House, The Crawfords, Mt. Washington and Lake Winnipesaukee. Folds into black pebble cloth boards that measure 5 x 10" that have a decorative gilt title and logo.

Map is near fine with no visible flaws. Boards are lightly rubbed and corners are only slightly bumped. A terrific example.
