A scarce double-page edition of this map with lovely original color showing early surveying, railroads, reservation lands, mines and topography. There are numerous placenames, military camps, forts and the proposed routes of the Southern Pacific and Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe railroads meander across the map. An elegant strapwork border surrounds this example.

Edges are a bit toned and have a couple small damp stains. A centerfold split entering map at bottom and an edge tear have been repaired on verso with archival tape. A good example of a difficult to find map.
