This plan illustrates the large fortification of Augsburg on the River Lech. It was engraved by Herman van Loon for Nicolas de Fer who held the title of Geographer at Louis XIV's court. De Fer was one of the most prolific publishers of plans of European cities in the late seventeenth century.

There is a tiny wormholes at right neatline and the left margin has a short tear that does not affect map.
