This copper engraved map is an outstanding chart of the island of St. Thomas. It is strongly engraved to show the nearby islands, soundings, anchorages, navigational hazards and villages. It locates Ft. St. Thomas ou Christian, extends to name Isle du Sabbat, Isle Bokken, Isle de l'Eau, and more. Embellished with a compass rose with fleur-de-lys and rhumb lines and rococo-style title cartouche. A very handsome chart that shows St. Thomas on a large scale.
