An uncommon map of the Intermountain West features forest lands shown in green and main irrigation canals shown with red overprinting. The map stretches from Canada to Mexico and includes Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico with most of Arizona. It features remarkable detail throughout including surveyed townships, towns, forts, Indian Reservations, and watershed plus topography by hachure. This important map documents the eventual full irrigation system created in the West. Finely lithographed by the firm of A. Hoen of Baltimore. Folds to 5 x 8.7"
