1) Maps of Texas and the Southwest, 1513-1900, by James C. Martin and Robert Sidney Martin, Austin, TX, 1999. The fifty maps collected for this volume represent many of the historically significant maps of Texas and the Southwest from 1513 to 1900. Beautifully illustrated with 17 color, and 50 black and white plates, many with detailed descriptions. (12.3 x 9.5") 174pp., 4to, hardbound in beige cloth with leather spine, with illustrated dust jacket in protective sleeve. Near mint condition.

2) The Mapping of the American Southwest, by Dennis Reinhartz and Charles Colley, College Station, TX, 1987. A very interesting documentation of the history of the different phases of Spanish and French mapmaking of the region with special attention paid to the disputes of boundaries and the various inaccuracies sometimes published as fact. Wonderfully illustrated with 22 uncolored and 7 colored plates. Signed by Mr. Reinhartz. (7.4 x 10.3"). 8vo, hardbound in red paper with decorative gilt on cover and gilt title on spine, with illustrated dust jacket in protective sleeve. Near new condition.
