"Asher & Adams' New Topographical Atlas and Gazetteer of New York…", Asher & Adams

This is a great New York county atlas with 12 double-page, and 4 single-page maps. It also contains a double-page map of Europe, and a charming, tipped in map of The Rapids of the St. Lawrence River, published by the Richelieu & Ontario Navigation Company. Both of these maps are unpaginated, and not mentioned in the table of contents. Pages 57-59, showing sketches of Geology and Topography, are missing. Folio, hardbound in original brown cloth with quarter sheep, gilt embossed title on front.

Map with a few spots, generally clean and bright, good to very good. Text with scattered foxing and light soil. Covers are quite worn with some loss along edges of boards. Corners bumped and worn. Spine is split in several places, and is separated from binding along with front board.
