Deftly engraved plan of the Temple of Solomon. The courtyards are filled with figures engaging in prayer, and a scene of a public stoning. The plan is topped with a decorative title cartouche as well as a sumptuous heraldic crest. Dr. Thomas Fuller (1608-1661) was an English scholar, writer and preacher. He published a large book based on biblical history called A Pisgah-Sight of Palestine that contained maps and views engraved by John Goddard, Robert Vaughan and Thomas Cross.
An attractive plan with a nice impression. The delicate, later color shows through on the verso. The sheet is lightly toned with some short tears and chips in the margins. One small tear is repaired on the verso with archival tape.
