This decorative map of the whole of North Africa covers from Morocco to the Nile delta, with considerable spurious detail in the interior. The land is filled with all kinds of wildlife (including a fanciful dragon) and the map is further embellished with decorative title and scale of miles cartouches and a compass rose. A previous owner has added Ao 1631 in blank ink beside the title cartouche. French text on verso.

Faint mat burn and short tear in blank margins, not affecting image. Attractive later color with slight bleed through on verso.
